Why Do We Need to Uninstall Feeder Clamp?
Telecom infrastructure is being upgraded globally. Some EU countries and Australia has already made decision on abandoning entire 2G network, to save bandwidth resources for 3G and 4G network. On upgrading 2G network, base transceiver stations need to be renovated to reach 3G/4G standard. When rearranging some BTS rf cables, you will need to remove their feeder clamp first.

What Preparation Should We Make Before Uninstall Feeder Clamp?
The uninstallation of feeder clamp is generally implemented before the tower is decommissioned. For staff work on BTS tower, prepare work suit, helmet, safety rope, insulation glove, and spanner; for staff work on the ground or bts room, prepare helmet, insulation glove, and spanner.
If the BTS tower is demolished directly, all you need is a spanner.
Start Uninstall Feeder Clamp
1. Loose the screw on the longer threaded bolt with spanner. Carefully unload all rubber cushions. If there are too many feeder cables clamped, loose the feeder clamp and pull out all the cables first.
2. Loose the screw on the shorter threaded bolt and detach feeder clamp from metal frame.
Note: Please operate carefully so that uninstalled feeder clamps can be reused. Make sure all removed components are classified for future use.
