Why 7/8" Cable Clamp?

7/8" coax cable, sometimes called main feeder cable, is the most widely used RF cable in telecom base station to connect between system components, like between antenna and telecom equipment room. The 7/8" coax cable contains pure copper inside and is thus wide and heavy. This cable cannot be bend too much, or it will compromise RF signal transmission, this is why we need 7/8" outdoor feeder clamp to make sure the cable is tightly fixed.

Common 7/8" Cable Clamps

1. Double feeder clamp 7/8"
The double feeder clamp is common for small-size cellular station with two main RF feeder cables. It allows two 7/8" coax cable through.
There are two types of double feeder clamp 7/8" available, which are through type feeder clamp and self-locking feeder clamp.

2. Triple feeder clamp 7/8" / 3 way feeder clamp
The triple feeder clamp or 3 way feeder clamp is another common type for outdoor feeder clamp. Most of the 7/8" feeder clamp is installed on cabling tray on the ground.
There are two types of triple feeder 7/8" available, which are through type feeder clamp and self locking feeder clamp.

3. 6 way feeder clamp
6 way feeder clamp is mostly used on cell tower to fix antenna feeders. It is often used on cell tower with three antennas mounted.
A 6 way feeder clamp is pretty big in size. All 6 way feeder clamps are through type.
